When our first child came along, we made a big decision: we wanted Jessica to be able to stay home with the kids. That meant it was time to turn the side hustle into something real. Starting Ozark Construction (Shipley Remodel in Kansas) wasn't easy—there were plenty of months where the bills piled up faster than the paychecks, and we wondered if we should just throw in the towel. But we loved building something of our own, and we loved even more the idea of providing honest, quality work for families just like ours. So we kept going.

We eventually moved to the Springfield area to be closer to my parents after our second baby arrived, and we've been putting down roots here ever since. Today, Ozark Construction is all about the things that matter most to us: integrity (we say what we'll do and do what we say), hard work (no shortcuts on the job site), and treating people with respect (because your home is your biggest investment, and we treat it like we'd treat our own).
