When our first child came along, we made a big decision: we wanted Jessica to be able to stay home with the kids. That meant it was time to turn the side hustle into something real. Starting Ozark Construction (Shipley Remodel in Kansas) wasn't easy—there were plenty of months where the bills piled up faster than the paychecks, and we wondered if we should just throw in the towel. We eventually moved to the Springfield area to be closer to my parents after our second baby arrived, and we've been putting down roots here ever since.
